racestcrimeHate motivated crimes are on the rise– on the streets and in the school yard.  There are haters all around us, all ages, races, and genders. They are mothers, fathers, professionals, politicians, bullies, and yes, even kids. Did you know that a swastika painted on a school locker is a hate crime?

A hate crime is any criminal act committed against an individual or group simply because of their color, race, religion, disability, ethnic origin, sexual orientation, gender, or age.

The affects of these crimes not only devastate victims – but can cripple an entire student community with fear.

It is estimated that one in every fifteen hate motivate crimes is reported to the police– mostly because the victim or bystander is not able to identify this unique and potentially dangerous threat.

As a police officer, school principal, teacher or counselor, you need to be able to not only accurately identify a hate motivated incident, but have the skills to respond quickly, safely, effectively.

After attending this informative and compelling teleseminar, you will learn
